Car Rental For Young Drivers In Croydon

If you are under the age of 25 then you may know just how difficult it can be to hire a car. Some suppliers will now allow you to rent a vehicle but the additional fees that thy try to charge are exceptionally high and can end up costing more than the cost of the actual rental car. We decided that we had to do something about it in order to try and help our customers get vehicles without having to pay exceptionally high fees.

We contacted all the suppliers in and around the Croydon area in an attempt to try and arrange some sort of deal for our young driver customers, eventually we were successful so much so that we actually managed to arrange two deals. These deals are for two different age groups which you can find below…

Under 23?
If you are under the age of 23 it’s even harder to hire a car, unless you take advantage of our fantastic new deal that is. We can now arrange car hire for those who are 21 given that they have held their licence for a year prior to hiring with us, you will however be subject to an additional daily fee but we will try and keep the total cost of the rental as low as possible whilst finding you the best deal available.

23 Or Over?
Are you aged 23 or 24? We have arranged an absolutely amazing deal for you, given that you also have held your licence for a year prior to hiring then we can offer you a deal that means that the young driver additional surcharge is significantly lower than usual.

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
