Here at Indigo, we know renting a car with only a debit card in general is hardly the easiest of tasks – and Bali is no different! In fact up until now, Bali (and Indonesia as a whole) were still one of the few locations left that we only had credit card suppliers left. Thankfully though that has now changed, as we’ve been able to partner with some new suppliers, allowing you to rent with nothing more than just your licence and debit card.
Bali is an island and province of Indonesia, and is known as one of THE quintessential tourist destinations of South East Asia – and it’s not hard to see why! Thanks to it’s position just a few degrees off the equator, Bali boasts a tropical climate all year round, with over 12 hours of sunlight every single day. This makes it perfect for soaking up the sun on Bali’s world-class beaches, whether it’s the endless white sands of Kuta Beach, ideal for sunbathing, or the thrill-packed shores of Tanjung Benoa, where water sports abound.
And there’s so much more to explore besides the beaches! Thanks to its history of being the only Hindu majority province in Indonesia, Bali has it’s very own unique mix of Hindu temples combined with local Balinese architecture. Known locally as “Pura”, these beautiful temples dot the landscape in all shapes and sizes. And we haven’t even touched on the amazing local cuisine and vibrant nightlife scene either!
How Does Debit Card Car Hire Work?
Debit card car hire works in a very similar way to any other rental – just instead of holding the security deposit on a credit card for the hire, it’s just debited and refunded on a debit card. One of the main differences comes when booking however – you must contact us directly for a debit card rental, either through email, calls or our online chat, as they cannot be booked online. We’ll then run through a quote with you for the best deal and get something arranged!
What Types of Debit Card Do You Accept?
We can take any standard Visa / Mastercard debit card from a major physical bank, as long as it has the driver’s name printed on the card. We can’t take any prepaid or electronic cards, or any cards from online banks either such as Revolut or Wise.
Where Can I Collect From?
At the moment we only have collection from the main Denpasar Int. Airport, though we are looking at expanding further so feel free to inquire still if you need to collect elsewhere!
