About Carlisle Lake District Airport

Carlisle Lake District Airport is located less than 10 miles north east of the historic town of Carlisle. The airport only opened on the 4th July 2019 and hosts flights to and from Belfast City, Dublin and London Southend. With the Lake District only 20 miles away, it is the doorway to explore the Lake District. Even better, the airport is less than 20 miles to Scotland, making it a hub for any travellers visiting the south of Scotland or the Lake District. When hiring a car from the airport you will be required to take a short shuttle bus journey to collect your vehicle.

Great car hire

We hired the car for a week over Christmas met at the airport was on time and filling the paperwork and off we went returned the car a week later again on time paperwork done and that was it refunded me my low deposit so easy no hassle highly recommend
